Thanks, Brad. It’s amazing to realize that Obama was a little kid when I made my trip there…. and that a half century later, it’s still a big deal to visit our near-neighbor. I suspect Obama may not have been motivated primarily to further Anolis research, but I certainly hope that is one by-product of the thaw.
It’s also interesting to reflect upon inflation… the Hotel Nacional was $7.50 a night, and I thought travel there was expensive!!
