Cabela is no longer selling telescopic panfish poles (see here). A quick review of alternatives (see here) did not find anything of comparable quality and price.
It has been a while since these were posted and I am wondering if anyone has found another equivalent product or has new insights on the alternatives? Or are people just repairing their old Cabela poles?

Hey Alex, I’ve been trying to find a new source too and so far I haven’t found any! I looked into a couple of different manufacturers here in the US to see what the cost of producing a couple hundred poles would be and it seemed prohibitively expensive. I think if we got a bunch of people to commit to buying poles in some sort of kickstarter it might be possible to get them manufactured abroad, but that was a pretty deep rabbit hole I didn’t want to chase down. I hope someone else messages with ideas.
