The Anoles Of Saint Maarten

Anolis gingivinus. From http://wordpress.iworklab.com/dcna/bush-and-tree-anoles/

Read all about them in this post from the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (whose logo features an anole!).

Professor and Curator of Herpetology at the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University. I've spent my entire professional career studying anoles and have discovered that the more I learn about anoles, the more I realize I don't know.

  1. Interesting that they don’t cite as a source our book on the reptiles and amphibians of the Dutch windward islands, especially since the Nature Foundation of St. Maarten helped in its production (or maybe they just couldn’t pull apart the glossy pages that tenaciously stick to each other — in hindsight a really bad idea to coat entire pages, although they look nice if you can get to them).
