2012 Anole Photo Contest: Vote Now!

It’s time to vote for the best anole photos of 2012. We had an overwhelming response with more than 60 entries, most of them excellent. Our panel of experts slaved over the submissions to choose 24 semi-finalists. Decision criteria were the quality, crispness, and composition of the photo, as well as the species.

You can vote for up to 3 photos. Voting will end on October 31st, at the stroke of midnight.

  1. Could we pick up a 4th? I would choose A. gorgonae, but can’t miss the extremely elegant (in an epic photo) pulchellus, and cuvieri (grass and giant anoles are awesome!), and how could you avoid clicking up to A. allisoni if you have a “humanole” oriented mind? I see no hispaniolan representatives this time.

Sorry, Miguel, life’s full of tough decisions. And as for the lack of Hispaniolan representatives, ahem, perhaps because no Hispaniolan photographers entered any?
