Don’t think I’ve ever seen one this shade of turquoise. Anyone know where it’s from?
As we all know, 2012 has been designated the Year of the Lizard. To stay up-to-date on lizardy festivities, as well as to stay abreast of issues in lizard conservation, consult http://www.parcplace.org/news-a-events/year-of-the-lizard.html. The poster can be downloaded at that site as well.

I’d guess Bermuda.

Although the caption says Jamaica. Not sure which Jamaican population would be that turquoise.

I was all over Bermuda hunting grahami and never saw one like that.

Some of the ones Alexis brought back are pretty blue, but you’re right, nothing like that one. Maybe some sort of strange lens or photoshop effect?

The grahami from the south central area of Jamaica (Hellshire) are completely turquoise and light blue.

Wow! Spectacular. grahami is one of my top ten anole species.

Beauty indeed! They remind me of Anolis gorgonae, another spectacularly cool colored species.

I made the poster. I can guarantee there’s no Photoshop effect involved (in any of the photos, for that matter). I had to look up the common name, as the file name for the photo only said Anolis grahami–so “Jamaican” is just the name whatever reference I used called it. If you really want confirmation, I could email Kristiina.
